Overview
Provide technical support for IT infrastructure and administration.
You have:
- Completed higher secondary education, high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of working experience in IT Infrastructure, Operations and Support is required.
- Experience in managing a VMware virtualization environment is required.
- Experience in managing Linux operating systems is required.
- Experience in using any professional IT service management tool such as TopDesk, JIRA, OTRS, SolarWind, Service Now, etc. is required.
- Experience in managing SAN storage hardware and physical servers is required.
- Good organizing skills and ability to prioritize work assignments, organize own schedule, perform routine work independently, act pro-actively, meet deadlines, adapt to changing demands and multitasking is required.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
- Fluency and/or working knowledge of another official UN language is desirable.
Contract
This is a G-6 contract. This kind of contract is known as General Service and related categories. It is normally only for nationals. It usually requires 6 years of experience, depending on education. More about G-6 contracts.
