Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship The position of Senior IT Specialist (AI Engineering) is assigned to the Digital for Development Operations Division (ITOP) within the Information Technology Department. ITD enables ADB's digital agenda and supports the Bank's global operations. The department delivers digital innovation, IT infrastructure, services and solutions, and provides tools and knowledge platforms.
You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.
You will report to Director, ITOP and will oversee junior team members.
Your Role As the Senior IT Specialist (AI Engineering), you will collaborate with teams, including product management, design engineering, and data science, to oversee the full product lifecycle—from ideation to execution and optimization.
Under the direction of the AI and Big Data Lead, you will manage the AI Engineering Team driving ADB's AI infrastructure and innovation. You will define the future of AI technologies at ADB, delivering cutting-edge solutions tailored to enterprise needs. Your leadership will set the technical direction and ensure the successful implementation of AI-driven products that align with strategic priorities and create measurable impact for our enterprise clients.

This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.
This position is funded by a temporary funding source (e.g., a trust fund, financing facility, or capital expenditure budget) and therefore, the renewal of the appointment and its duration are subject to the availability of the funding source.
This is a fixed term appointment with option to renew, initially for a period of up to 2 years, or up to the Normal Retirement Date (NRD), whichever comes earlier, for the purpose(s) and conditions determined by ADB, in accordance with Administrative Order No. 2.01 (Recruitment and Appointment). After the initial fixed-term period, ADB may choose to renew the appointment for up to an additional 2 years or not renewed. This decision will be made in the overall interest of ADB, based on factors including but not limited to the requirement of Staff’s particular blend of skills and experience for the medium-term work program of the organizational unit, sufficient funding to cover the renewed period, and Staff’s performance and suitability for employment. There is no limit to the number of renewals up to NRD. However, this appointment is not convertible to a regular appointment.
