Information technology is an integral part of the strategic initiatives for all the Core Business Functions at IFC. Corporate Information Technologies (CIT) Teams provides comprehensive IT support for IFC's Investment & Advisory Services, Financial Operations, Treasury & the Asset Management Company. A robust engagement model with business ensures prioritization of the business requirements & focus on delivery. The application landscape encompasses a wide variety of In-house and Customized COTS products which meets the business needs of IFC departments.

CIT’s Core Operations (CITOP) Unit is seeking a Senior IT Officer – Release Train Engineer to lead offshore delivery of its product development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both product management and offshore IT delivery, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams. This role will focus on ensuring the successful execution of product roadmaps, aligning offshore teams with business priorities, and driving continuous product enhancements. You will be at the heart of delivering high-quality products that meet client needs, business goals, and technical standards.

The position is for a highly motivated and versatile candidate with strong theoretical background and substantial experience in information technology, banking or investment operation.

Duties & Accountabilities: • Product Delivery Leadership: Oversee the offshore delivery of product features, enhancements, and releases including participating in Program Implement (PI) planning to ensure alignment with the product roadmap, business objectives, and customer needs. • Offshore Team Management: Manage and collaborate with offshore development, QA, vendor and support teams, providing direction and ensuring effective communication and collaboration across time zones and cultural contexts. • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise between product teams including product managers, product owners, scrum masters, technical product owners, offshore development teams (including vendor teams) to ensure product vision, objectives, and timelines are clear and agreed upon. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product owners, UX/UI designers, engineers, and data teams to ensure smooth collaboration and delivery of end-to-end product experiences. • Client-Centric Delivery: Ensure that the product meets customer expectations by working closely with product managers to prioritize features, address customer feedback, and manage product quality. • Agile Product Delivery: Champion Agile and Scrum methodologies (e.g., SAFe) to drive product development, ensuring sprints are executed effectively and product features are delivered incrementally and iteratively. • Risk Management & Issue Resolution: Identify potential risks early in the process, proactively developing mitigation strategies, and resolving delivery blockers to ensure smooth and timely product delivery. • Process Optimization: Continuously assess and improve offshore delivery processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase the quality of product releases. • Metrics & Reporting: Track product delivery performance using key metrics (e.g., velocity, burn-down, cycle time) and provide transparent updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders. • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging teams to refine processes, share best practices, and innovate on product delivery.

Selection Criteria

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, with at least 10 years of relevant experience. • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT delivery management within a product-focused environment, with experience managing offshore or distributed teams. • Strong understanding of product management processes, including product roadmaps, prioritization, backlog grooming, and feature definition. • Experience managing the end-to-end delivery of product features or enhancements, with deep familiarity in aligning development efforts with strategic business objectives • Demonstrated experience in managing offshore teams within a global product delivery model, including time zone and cultural management. • Solid understanding of product management principles and practices • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum or Kanban • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
