Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship

The position of Senior IT Officer (AI Software Engineer) is assigned to the Digital for Development Operations Division (ITOP) within the Information Technology Department. You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.

You will report to the designated International Staff.

Your Role

As a Senior IT Officer (AI Software Engineer), you will play a critical part in ensuring the secure and efficient development, deployment, and operation of our AI models and pipelines. You will work closely with developers, researchers, and security professionals to implement DevSecOps best practices throughout the AI lifecycle.

You will:

· Development:

o Collaborate with developers to review code for security vulnerabilities and implement secure coding practices.

o Automate builds, deployments, and testing using CI/CD pipelines.

o Integrate security tools and processes into the development workflow.

o Configure infrastructure for AI workloads, including containerization and orchestration.

· Security:

o Conduct security assessments of AI models and pipelines.

o Implement security controls and monitoring to mitigate risks.

o Respond to security incidents and manage vulnerabilities.

o Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and best practices for AI.

· Operations:

o Monitor and maintain AI infrastructure and platforms.

o Optimize performance and resource utilization.

o Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.

o Automate operational tasks.

· Collaboration:

o Work effectively with developers, researchers, and security professionals.

o Communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.

o Participate in the continuous improvement of AI development and operations processes.

ADB offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. The salary will be based on ADB’s standards and comparator markets, taking into account your qualifications and experience.

Additional Information

This is a fixed term appointment with option to renew for an initial period of two (2) years following Section 3.1 (b) of Administrative Order No. 2.01 (“Recruitment and Appointment’). This appointment is not convertible to a regular appointment. It may be extended on an exceptional basis for a further fixed period at the option of ADB. This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.

This position is funded by a temporary funding source (capital expenditure budget) and therefore, the renewal of the appointment and its duration are subject to the availability of the funding source.
