Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship

The position of Senior Investment Officer is assigned to the Private Sector Financial Institutions Division (PSFI) within the Private Sector Operations Department (PSOD). You will be based at our Resident Mission Office in the People’s Republic of China.

You will report to the Director of PSFI and will oversee and guide junior staff and define, supervise and review the quality of their work outputs.

Your Role As a Senior Investment Officer, you will: participate in the processing of ADB’s private sector financing of financial institutions projects and technical assistance to contribute to ADB’s goal of private sector and finance sector development and poverty reduction. The successful candidate will also be responsible for establishing new client relationships and maintaining existing ones within the context of business development.

Additional Information

This position is for outposting to People's Republic of China Resident Mission (PRCM) and is open to internal and external applicants. If you are an external candidate, you may initially be based in HQ before being outposted. If you are an internal candidate, the outposting will be immediate.

This opening is a local staff position. It is open only to nationals and residents of People's Republic of China.

This is a fixed term appointment with option to renew for an initial period of 3 (three) years following Section 3.1 (b) of Administrative Order No. 2.01 (“Recruitment and Appointment’). This appointment is not convertible to a regular appointment. It may be extended on an exceptional basis for a further fixed period at the option of ADB. This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.
