How can you make a difference?

UNICEF GSSC is looking for talented IT professionals to work on optimization and automation, development and maintenance of RPA solutions while ensuring applicable compliance, quality and documentation standards. Work with different Sections in GSSC and other stakeholders sharing information and ensure an optimal solution to the business.

This is a Temporary Appointment (TA) for 364 days.

Key functions, accountabilities, and related tasks:

  • Develop automation based on (documented) business requirements, create ’bot’ procedure and create/maintain all relevant documents in the RPA library.
  • Participating in functional testing. Working with the business to document changes to current business practices and assist in process re-engineering and change management planning efforts.
  • Mentor and coach RPA early adopters in business units with best practices in RPA capabilities, create awareness about how to perform RPA pre-assessment and about the basics of RPA development.
  • Provide on-going support including process changes, defect fixes, software upgrades, performance tuning, and RPA bot administration.
  • Peer review of robot and automated procedures developed by other RPA specialist to ensure compliance with internal control/security/audit requirements. You will act as level 3 support for RPA owners upon issue appearance in robot environment.
  • Perform daily maintenance of automation processes in ’production environment’, manage all eventual incidents

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Education:

Completion of secondary education (high school diploma) is a minimum requirement, supplemented with university-level courses in system engineering or programming or automation or equivalent specialized training is an asset.

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience is required if candidates completed Secondary education. A completed university degree from an accredited institution will be counted toward the minimum work experience requirements. i.e. in the form of one year of completed education being equivalent to one year of relevant work experience (for fully completed degrees only)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in process automation, programming.
  • Programming skills in Python, AutoIt Script, Powershell, VB script, SQL and similar. Programming skills on any RPA platforms is an asset.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Vision), including ERP systems such as SAP or similar.
  • Work experience with a development organization or the United Nations is an asset.

Language:

  • Fluency in English (verbal and spoken) required
  • Knowledge of an additional UN Language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish), or local language of the duty station, is considered an asset
