Background/IRC Summary

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a private, non-political, non-profit, and non-religious organization. For over 90 years, we have been providing humanitarian assistance to communities affected by conflict and natural disasters in more than 40 countries. Since 2008, the IRC has been active in Myanmar, delivering humanitarian assistance in areas such as health, protection, water, and sanitation, specifically targeting families impacted by conflict and natural disasters.

Job Overview/Summary:

To further enhance these response and recovery efforts, IRC is seeking an experienced Grants Management Professional to join our team as a Sr. Grants Officer. Under the direct supervision and guidance of the Sr. Grants Manager and Head of Grants and Partnership this role will work with departments including programs, finance, partnership, supply chain and field offices to ensure effective project cycle management especially for earthquake response grants; this includes but is not limited to managing internal and external reporting with programs and finance, providing high-quality, well-written and timely reports, that meet donor and IRC requirements. Support project teams in managing donor and IRC compliance and providing support in organizing budget vs actual and project cycle meetings (PCMs) to keep track of project progress and ensuring effective use of resources.

Major Responsibilities: the responsibilities include:

- Work closely with Sector leads, grants, partnerships and finance team on all grants related tasks specifically focused on reporting and grants administration. - Acquire and disseminate updated information regarding donor formats (proposals and reports) and other donor-related information. - Coordinate and draft high quality donor and internal reports with support from sector leads. - Prepare and share compliance summary sheets or presentation with teams, explaining IRC and donor compliance according to grants agreements and policies. - Support Sr. Grants Manager in organization and follow-up of project review and budget vs actual meetings during implementation stage. - Ensure grants management tools are updated, able to generate reports for management review. - Organize and where required facilitate the PCMs - Manage archiving on grant files regularly on Box and OTIS and prepare them for any audit. - Support head of Grants and Partnerships in Maintaining updated Grants Tracker - Managing communication and coordination between teams listed above for grants administration - Able to take on other duties as necessary and/or as requested.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Bachelors or Master’s in English or Communications or Social studies

Minimum 3-5 years’ experience of grants management within NGO/INGO or in similar role.

Myanmar nationals with relevant skills sets and proven experience of working at international level are strongly encouraged.
