Purpose for the job

Under the general guidance of the P3 Fundraising Specialist, supervisor of the post, and in close coordination with the PFP team, the post is accountable for technical support and assistance in the planning, implementation, launching of corporate fundraising strategies and corporate investment and makes impact’s evaluations of initiatives related to corporate and corporate pathway to pledge fundraising activities on children rights framed in the social and resource mobilization plan of the country office, either for gross revenues goals and for private sector engagement activities.

Key functions, accountabilities and related duties/tasks

Increase UNICEF Peru income establishing different initiatives with the private sector:

• Contributes to the achievement of the yearly target for in terms of income and donations in kind and develops relevant partnerships that contribute to the enhancement of the brand positioning of UNICEF and its mission.

• Supports the preparation of the annual activity plan related to corporate and corporate pathway to pledge (CPTP) fundraising on children rights framed in the social & resource mobilization plan of the country office. Proposes key priorities, defines annual activity plans, establishes key performance indicators and provides relevant information on corporate and CPTP fundraising opportunities and trends in the country and its linkages with global initiatives lead by UNICEF.

• Contributes to the implementation of the corporate and CPTP fundraising activity plan by mapping key stakeholders and potential allies, coordinating meetings with relevant counterparts, preparing presentations, participating in forums related to corporate and CPTP, drafting agreements and following up the implementation of activities agreed with partners.

• Participates in monitoring the performance of the different activities implemented as part of the corporate and CPTP fundraising activities of the country office. Alerts on major delays in implementation and proposes ways to overcome difficulties or challenges affecting the corporate and CPTP fundraising objectives.

• Contributes to the preparation of the Country Office Annual Report, and other reports required by PFP Headquarters regarding to corporate and CPTP.

• Contributes to the development of partnerships in collaboration with the head of B4R and the different specialists in Programs in order to maximize positive impact for children.

RECRUITMENT QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Completion of secondary education is required, supplemented by technical or university courses in marketing, administration or relevant field.

Academic background on elimination of discrimination on grounds of race, ethnicity, indigenous populations, caste, sexual orientation or disability is considered as an asset.

Experience:

A minimum of seven years of professional working experience in marketing or sales areas.

Proven experience developing alliances with corporates.

Previous relevant work experience in the UN System, or experience in human and children rights will be an asset.

Experience working with minority groups, migrant children and adolescents, refugees, or with indigenous communities is an asset.

Experience working on issues related to anti-racism and discrimination on grounds of race, ethnicity, indigenous populations, sexual orientation or disability is an asset.

Language:

Fluency in Spanish and English are required.
