Overview

Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all financial functions.

You have:

  • Advanced degrees preferred (MBA, MPA, or similar) or a Bachelor's degree with a recognized professional accounting qualification and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Recognized professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA or CPA required.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience leading accounting or finance teams, ideally within international NGOs or donor-funded organizations.
  • Demonstrable expertise in budgeting, financial analysis, grant management, and donor financial reporting.
  • Strong experience with audits (external, internal, and donor) and financial compliance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to translate financial information for diverse audiences.
  • High proficiency in accounting systems and financial tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems.
  • Working knowledge of ERP accounting systems; experience with QuickBooks required.
  • Knowledge of Unit4/Agresso is an added advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to work independently, proactively, and collaboratively across multicultural teams and time zones.
  • High professional integrity, discretion, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence senior managers and peers.
