Ensure effective management and driving of vehicles for UNESCO activities.

You have:

  • Completed at least the end of the first cycle of secondary education.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a driver with knowledge of driving rules and protocol.
  • Good knowledge of driving rules for drivers operating in the United Nations System and/or other International Organizations is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanics (auto) is an asset.
  • Ability to use computer tools would be an asset.
  • Excellent command of French and Creole (oral and written).
  • Good knowledge of English (oral and written).

Le Chauffeur Principal aura pour tâches de : ***Gestion du matériel roulant :*** - Entretenir de manière quotidienne le véhicule dont il a la charge ; contrôler le niveau de l’huile et de l’eau, la batterie, les freins, les pneus, etc. ; - Effectuer les petites réparations en cas de panne du véhicule, prendre toutes les dispositions pour assurer le suivi des grosses réparations et s’assurer que le véhicule qui lui est confié est maintenu propre ; Long Description ---------------- - En concertation avec le Responsable Administratif et Financier, prendre les dispositions utiles pour le suivi des grandes réparations, les vidanges, la vérification des pneus et des freins, et le nettoyage du véhicule etc. ; - Consigner les déplacements officiels, le kilométrage journalier, la consommation de carburant, les contrôles d’huile, les graissages, etc., dans les documents appropriés et tenir à jour la fiche technique du véhicule ; - S’assurer que toutes les dispositions immédiates seront prises en conformité avec les procédures de UNDSS et de l’UNESCO en cas d’accident ou d’implication dans un accident ; Long Description ---------------- - S’assurer de la disponibilité et de la mise à jour de tous les documents et équipements requis pour le véhicule (police d’assurance, admission temporaire carnets de bord, répertoire du bureau, carte de la ville/du pays, trousse médicale de premiers soins, radios VHF, etc..). ***Gestion sûre et fiable des déplacements :*** - Accueillir le personnel officiel et les visiteurs à l’aéroport et au besoin, faciliter l’obtention des formalités de visa et de douane (dédouanements); - Effectuer les courses du Bureau, collecter et distribuer le courrier ainsi que tout autre document et produit ; - Conduire les missions sur le terrain conformément à l’itinéraire défini ; - Donner un appui au Responsable Administratif et Financier dans la mise en place d’un planning d’entretien pour les véhicules du Bureau.
