You will be in charge of

Objective of the Assignment

To lead the development and strengthening of climate policy and regulatory frameworks aligned with GCF requirements and international climate finance mechanisms.

Scope of Work

Lead policy and regulatory gap analysis related to climate and GCF engagement
Guide development of regulatory and policy documents
Ensure alignment with GCF, GEF, MDBs
Provide technical oversight across deliverables
Support integration of outputs into institutional systems
Contribute to stakeholder consultations and validation

Key Deliverables

Inputs to gap analysis report
Contribution to at least 7 regulatory/policy documents
Strategic guidance notes
Inputs to final report

Reporting Line

Reports to Team Leader / Project Manager and coordinates with the consulting team.

Expected skills and qualifications

Qualifications

Master’s degree in relevant field
6–8 years of experience in climate policy and regulatory development
Experience with GCF (mandatory requirement), GEF, MDBs
Strong analytical and drafting skills
Fluency in English

Conditions

Salary, depending on the level of education, security level, etc as well as a monthly living allowance of $300
Accommodation and food provided in Acted guesthouse
Pension, health insurance, life insurance and repatriation assistance (& unemployment insurance for EU citizens)
Flight tickets every 6 months & visa fees covered
Contribution to the luggage transportation: up to 100 kgs, depending on the length of the contract
Annual leave of 25 to 43 days per year
One week pre-departure training in Acted HQ, including a 4-days in situ security training

This position is classified as an international staff position under Acted’s recruitment framework. Eligibility for an international contract is therefore required.
