Role Summary

About the Geopolitics Team

TBI’s Geopolitics Team provides senior political and corporate leaders with distinctive, decision-relevant insight on the geopolitical forces shaping their priorities. The team briefs senior TBI leadership, government principals and C-suite clients, connecting political developments to their second- and third-order implications for strategy, policy, markets, investment, operations and risk.

TBI is embedded with governments across the world and is growing its corporate client service footprint. The team therefore needs analysts who are equally comfortable briefing a senior public principal and a corporate executive, and who can translate complex political developments into clear implications for decisions.

Candidates will need to have the existing right to work in the UK, as unfortunately we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.

Role Overview

The Senior Analyst will lead TBI’s coverage of the Americas, with a particular focus on the U.S. and Latin America, including Brazil, Argentina and Colombia. The successful candidate will bring strong foreign-policy judgement, regional expertise, analytical range and an established network across policy, diplomatic, business and expert communities.

This is not a narrow country-specialist role. We are looking for someone who has the tools, curiosity and network to build informed views quickly across political, economic, security, trade, technology and market issues, and to turn fragmented information into distinctive insight for public and private clients.

  • Identify second- and third-order implications of political, security, trade, sanctions, technology, election and foreign-policy developments for governments and businesses.
  • Develop distinctive insights for corporate clients on how geopolitical risks affect strategy, supply chains, market exposure, investment decisions, regulation and operations.
  • Draw on TBI’s internal capabilities and external expert networks to build robust perspectives, test assumptions and identify emerging risks and opportunities.
  • Use quantitative and qualitative methods, including data visualisation, forecasting, scenario analysis, market data analysis, Excel and AI tools, to strengthen geopolitical analysis.
  • Represent TBI in client briefings, workshops, conferences and external engagements, including through some travel.
  • Support the growth of TBI’s geopolitics offer by helping shape new products, client propositions and analytical methods.
