You have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Economics, or Public Administration is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in international development, policy analysis, or related fields is required.
  • Excellent communication skills in English are essential.
  • Experience working in Southeast Asia or knowledge of the region’s socio-economic issues is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide strategic insights is required.

Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship

The position is assigned to the Office of the Vice President for East and Southeast Asia, and the Pacific (VPR2). You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.

You will report to the Vice President for East and Southeast Asia, and the Pacific and will oversee National and Administrative staff.

Your Role

As a Senior Advisor to the Vice-President, you will be responsible for tracking, analyzing, and providing support on the full range of policy, operational, and administrative issues within the East Asia Department, Pacific Department and Southeast Asia Department. Specific responsibilities fall broadly under four categories: (i) Analysis and Judgement on Strategy and Policy Issues, (ii) Operational Analysis and Monitoring, (iii) Liaison/Internal and external Coordination, and (iv) Administration. You will work within the framework of ADB policies, procedures and fiduciary obligations.

Additional Information

ADB will be rolling-out a new job grading structure on 1 January 2025, which may result in a change of the position grade and title with no change in the terms of reference.
