Overview

Support implementation of HIV prevention strategies in Malawi in collaboration with MOH-NAC.

You have:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Public Health, Epidemiology, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in evidence-based HIV prevention policy, program design, and management, preferably in Malawi or comparable contexts.
  • Extensive knowledge of combination prevention and demonstrated experience working with national partners on the HIV and AIDS response, particularly in prevention programming.
  • Proven ability to lead and facilitate development, review, and evaluation of strategic frameworks in health and HIV.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and writing skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to lead capacity-building and mentorship initiatives within government or institutional settings.
  • Preferred: Experience with Global Fund and PEPFAR processes; familiarity with new prevention technologies (CAB LA, LEN, DVR); and experience in SBCC and community-led approaches.
  • Demonstrated ability to be effective in high-pressure situations and adapt to fast-paced and changing environments with a strong commitment to excellence, both internally and externally.
