Within the Management Department, Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS) ensure that information technology is a strategic enabler of the vision of Getting to Zero, and contributes to the transition from managing a disease to ending an epidemic. The DTS team makes possible new ways of collaboration, facilitates greater sharing of knowledge and provides new tools to reach out and communicate with key stakeholders and constituencies. To play this important role, the department is an agent of change, contributing to making UNAIDS work fast, smart and efficiently. Main tasks and Responsibilities of the Position: Reporting to the Director, Digital & Technology Solutions, the Senior Advisor, Digital Solutions,

Advises and contributes to Digital strategy and planning: - Advises the Digital Board, director DTS and contributes to the elaboration of strategic and operational plans, by providing forward and innovative thinking. - Analyses and advises on digital transformation initiatives for UNAIDS, advising on needs and trends in new technologies.

Leads business relations between the department and internal and external stakeholders: - Acts a key DTS focal point and business partner for the UNAIDS departments and communities of practice or offices. - Leads business analyses and ensures digital and technology needs of the organisation are gathered and documented. - Supports innovative working methods across the Organization, developing and mapping of business processes to provide a clear foundation for DTS priorities and work planning. - Supports the UNAIDS digital governance, ensuring that internal stakeholders, Digital Board and director DTS receive appropriate update and documentation on the ongoing initiatives. - Contributes and takes advantage of inter-agency work and represents UNAIDS DTS department in inter-agency working groups. - Liaises with WHO IT management and experts to integrate WHO's technology and service changes in UNAIDS' plans. - Engage with vendors and thought leaders to keep abreast of technology developments.

Leads key projects and activities - Ensures consistency of the Digital project porfolio. - Leads key projects and activities and ensure delivery of efficient business solutions, managing budget, procurement processes and resources assigned to the projects. - Leads the design and updates of UNAIDS ICT policies.

Performs any other duties as requested by supervisor. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: Advanced university degree at the Master's level or equivalent in Engineering, Business Administration or related field.

Exercising Sound Judgement Experience: Essential: Extensive experience (minimum 10 years) in ICT management and ICT project management at the international level with considerable experience (minimum 6 years) managing and leading teams. Technical background and experience in: Project management, business analysis, business applications roll-out, ICT security technologies and cloud environments.

Desirable: Experience managing teams across geographic locations. Broad IT experience: ERP, infrastructure, (open source) applications, information management, artificial intelligence and service management. Project management certification is an asset. Management experience in the UN system or other international experience in development. Languages: Essential: Advanced knowledge of English.

Desirable: Working knowledge of another UN official language. Additional Information: Positions at the international professional category within UNAIDS will be subject to the Organization's Mobility Policy. The above-mentioned position is a rotational position and its standard duration of assignment is linked to the ICSC hardship classification of the duty station.
