Overview

Lead and manage the Security and Safety Team to ensure staff safety and compliance with security protocols.

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Studies, International Relations, Risk Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in humanitarian security management, including work in high-risk environments.
  • Proven experience in supervising and mentoring staff located in different areas.
  • Strong knowledge of humanitarian INGOs’ operating environments in Ukraine, with solid understanding of humanitarian and resilience programming.
  • Demonstrated expertise in security risk analysis, and in the development and implementation of security risk prevention and mitigation measures, as well as NGO safety management.
  • Working proficiency in English required. Ukrainian language skills are a must.
  • Proven experience in developing, delivering, and facilitating staff security trainings (e.g., mine awareness, personal security and safety, first aid, HEAT).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with staff, partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently and work in highly challenging and remote environments.
