This is a UNV International Specialist contract. This kind of contract is known as International UN Volunteer. It is normally internationally recruited only. More about UNV International Specialist contracts.

Description of task

Under the direct supervision of the Head of Innovative Financing Lab and National Project Manager Accelerating SDGs Investments in Indonesia (ASSIST), UNDP Indonesia, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

Project Implementation

  • Support to the overall implementation of the Joint SDG Fund project on Accelerating SDGs Investments in Indonesia.
  • Research and analyse information on assigned topics/issues, gather information from diverse sources.
  • Writing, editing, proof-reading of proposal, report, article, and other documents.
  • Knowledge management and communication through writing articles, case studies, and other documents.

  • Contribute in incorporating gender into the project activities

Educational additional comments

Advanced higher degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Business Administration, Public Policy, Economics, Finance, Social Science, Engineering, Sustainabilty, Development Studies or related field; a first-level university degree or equivalent in combination with relevant training and/or professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.

Experience remark

  • A minimum of two years of relevant and progressively responsible professional work experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in the area of development finance, innovative finance, impact investments, social entrepreneurship, public or private investments is required;

  • Advanced quantitative and qualitative analysis and/or research experience related to development, policy, SDGs and/or finance is required.

  • Demonstrated experience in resource mobilization, stakeholder engagement, project management, and programme development and implementation is desirable;
  • Experience working in developing countries is an asset.
  • Have affinity with or interest in sustainable development, volunteerism as a mechanism for durable development, and the UN System.

Language skills

  • English(Mandatory), Level - Fluent
  • Indonesian(Optional), Level - Working Knowledge
