Org. Setting and Reporting

The Sanitation Foreman Is responsible to the Area Sanitation Officer in other Fields for technical matters and to the Camp and Community Services Officer for administrative matters.

Responsibilities

The incumbent: 1. Supervises sanitation and other Laborers, maintains and controls their attendance and leave, and prepares statistical and narrative reports. 2. Supervises water distribution, maintenance of water networks, water disinfection and collects water samples for bacteriological examination. 3. Supervises liquid and solid water collection, loading, removal and maintenance of sewers and drains, directs refuse vehicles. 4. Inspects gathering surfaces and breeding places of insects, carries out necessary surveys and supervises insect and rodent control activities. 5. Inspects and reports on cleanliness in camp and its installations. 6. Assists in health education for the labourers and camp inhabitants. 7. Receives, keeps and controls sanitation tools, supplies and equipment. 8. Supervises sanitation self-help camp improvement projects. 9. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
