The overarching strategic goal of UNICEF’s ICT Division (ICTD) is to transform and build partnerships with our stakeholders to successfully implement UNICEF programs globally through the use of innovative technology-enabled solutions.

This position is situated within the Solutions Centre and Support section of ICTD. The center provides adequate, user-friendly, and modern business solutions to UNICEF’s different departments and stakeholders as well as providing guidance, governance, and procedures to several enterprise processes such as data collection, program monitoring, digital tools and platforms, and business process optimization throughout the organization.

How can you make a difference?

Under direct supervision of Salesforce Technical Product Owner and matrix reporting to the System Analyst, Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP), Geneva, the incumbent of this consultancy will work in the development, rollout and support of digital fundraising solution build on Salesforce platform. This includes the operations and support of the Salesforce platform including the administration, configuration, business analysis, troubleshooting, fault identification, rectification, performance and health monitoring. You will provide go live support, taking ownership and responding to operational issues and communication to the wider team. You will be part of global Salesforce team and will be actively involved in application delivery and enhancements. Demonstrating strong ability and effectively self-manage priorities and be able to collaborate effectively between end user and delivery team will help succeed in the role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with country team, business group and end users to gather, understand, and define business requirements and translate the requirements into technical briefs;
  • Develop user stories and to-be process flows to delivery business requirements;
  • Create and manage workflow rules, validation rules, process builder, flows, lightning components and apps;
  • Configure Salesforce NPSP (Recurring donation, batch data import, export, campaign, donation etc.);
  • Maintain user profiles, role hierarchies, sharing rules, permission sets, approval process;
  • Collaborate with developers and external parties to delivery complex requirements and verify that solutions will meet the business requirements;
  • Create reports and dashboard to meet operational requirements;
  • Validate reports/dashboard created by others in the organization and assist in the interpretation of data;
  • Data cleansing and importing large volumes of data;
  • Participate and delivery system demos, show-tell sessions and end to end system testing;
  • Develop training materials and content and conduct user training sessions and support the user adoption;
  • Create and maintain documentation on processes, policies, application configuration, user support materials and systems operations documents;
  • Review and manage app exchange products;
  • Manage daily workload and maintain SLA to provide quality services to end user;
  • Others task as required to support UNICEF Salesforce projects and initiatives.

Duration: This consultancy will be for a period of six (6) months.

Start date: Tentatively April 15, 2021.

Location: Remote work with core working hours established by Salesforce Technical Product Owner, based on project activities and locations.

Academic Degrees required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management or equivalent.

Professional Experience:

  • A minimum of five years' experience working in Salesforce platform (Sales/Service Cloud and Not for Profit Cloud).
  • Experience of working in payment gateways/aggregators and CMS (Drupal) will be a plus.

Other Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Has the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to coordinate with implementation partners, developers, and business partners in providing solution suggestions.
  • Experience of project and software delivery lifecycles including scoping, design, development, testing, training.
  • Industry qualifications in Salesforce platform (Salesforce Certified Administrator and/or Platform App Builder) is required. Experience of Digital marketing is a plus.
  • Flexibility and agility to adapt to changing and evolving business requirements and objectives.

Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required. Additional UN languages will be considered an asset.

Visa requirement:

With the exception of the US Citizens, G4 Visa and Green Card holders, should the selected candidate and his/her household members reside in the United States under a different visa, the consultant and his/her household members are required to change their visa status to G4, and the consultant's household members (spouse) will require an Employment Authorization Card (EAD) to be able to work, even if he/she was authorized to work under the visa held prior to switching to G-4.
