Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship
While the position of Safeguards Officer resides with the Private Sector/Pacific Operations Services (OSPP) within the Office of Safeguards (OSFG), you will be employed locally and assigned to Solomon Islands Pacific Country Office (SOL PLCO) within the Pacific Department (PARD) based at our office in Honiara, Solomon Islands.
You will report to designated International Staff and Senior Officer as applicable.
Your Role
As a Safeguards Officer, you will support project processing and the administration of safeguards implementation for ADB funded projects and technical assistance in Solomon Islands and other Pacific countries. This includes supporting clients to meet ADB's safeguards policy requirements and working with a broad range of partners to strengthen the country's safeguards systems.

Additional Information
This opening is a regional staff position with a local compensation package. It is open to nationals and permanent residents residing in the duty station, Australia, and ADB member countries in the Pacific region such as Cook Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji Islands, Kiribati, Nauru, Niue, New Zealand, Palau, Papua New Guinea, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.
This is a fixed term appointment with option to renew for an initial period of three (3) years following Section 3.1 (b) of Administrative Order No. 2.01 ("Recruitment and Appointment'). This appointment is not convertible to a regular appointment. At the end of the initial period, this appointment may be renewed for a period of up to three years, or not renewed. There is no limit on the number of renewals. This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.
