You have:

  • Good knowledge of Word, Powerpoint, Excel.
  • A minimum of two years’ administration experience.
  • Experience of working in an office environment.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and excellent typing skills.
  • Experience working with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system or database like Salesforce.
  • Minimum Leaving Certificate or equivalent
  • Proven organisation and administrative skills, proficient with standard IT packages especially Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise and multi-task.
  • Ability to organise and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain effective relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders.

The Opportunity

Trócaire is committed to safeguarding people we work and interact with from abuse, exploitation and/or harassment caused by our staff, organisational representative, programmes and activities. This includes our partner organisations, whom we support in this area through minimum requirements, training, resources and capacity strengthening.

Trócaire currently has a suite of assessments with data that requires migrating to new formats. This requires manual transfers of data in Excel to new templates. Trócaire also has a suite of training packages, resources and tools to support Trócaire teams and partners with Safeguarding implementation. These resources need re-compiling and updating.

The salary for this role ranges from €32,746 - €39,307 pro-rata based on 18.5 hours over a 6 month period.

Requirements

The Role

The Safeguarding Administrative is a member of the Safeguarding Team and will support the update of assessment results, resources and training materials. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated with an ability to self-direction of assigned tasks. A meticulous methodical approach to the responsibilities and duties outlined below is crucial.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Safeguarding. It is a project specific role, fixed term contract, 18.5 hours per week for 24 weeks. The role is based in Maynooth (hybrid working options are available). Key responsibilities

  • Provide high quality administrative support for safeguarding initiatives.
  • Update tools and resources in adherence with Trócaire Brand Guidelines.
  • Transferred partner assessments into updated templates
  • Attend and complete relevant Trócaire training for the role as required (e.g. code of conduct, safeguarding, data protection).
  • Other relevant administrative duties as directed by the Head of Safeguarding.

Essential Requirements

  • Good knowledge of Word, Powerpoint, Excel.
