Contract

This is a Consultancy contract. More about Consultancy contracts.

Safe to Learn was launched in 2019 as a global initiative to catalyse commitments and evidence-based action to end violence in and through schools by 2030. As a joint initiative of the violence against children (VAC) and education sectors, Safe to Learn is an opportunity to unlock the multiple wins of ending violence in schools, improve learning outcomes, better leverage investments in education, and raise awareness and change attitudes towards VAC more broadly.

Safe to Learn brings together a powerful coalition of organisations from the education, child protection, violence prevention and health communities. Together, the partners[1][1] leverage each other’s strengths and unique expertise to ensure that every child can learn safely, wherever and however that may be. To accelerate action towards this shared mission, Safe to Learn partners developed a new 3-year Strategy (2021-2024) to develop an ecosystem for at-scale change and embed violence prevention in Education systems at the country level.

Safe to Learn is hosted by the Global Partnership to End Violence Against Children (End Violence Partnership), which has guided its progress to date and monitors its successes. To ensure delivery of the new strategy, the Safe to Learn global initiative will be focusing its efforts towards country level action and harmonized global advocacy to create widespread awareness backed by change so that every girl and boy can learn thrive and grow.

END VIOLENCE PARTNERSHIP

The End Violence Partnership was born out of the Sustainable Development Goals and has a singular purpose: to catalyse and support action to achieve SDG 16.2 to end all forms of violence against children by 2030. Launched by the UN Secretary-General in 2016, the End Violence Partnership was established as UNICEF-hosted Partnership and Fund, working on varying levels—with governments, international organizations, donors, and grantees to prevent and respond to violence against children

The End Violence Partnership is a platform for collective, evidence-based advocacy and action. In its first five years, the Partnership has helped develop and promote the INSPIRE solutions to end violence; enrolled 34 governments as ‘Pathfinder’ countries; launched an innovative initiative with education sector partners to end violence in and through schools; awarded $60 million in grants to keep children safe online, in schools, at home and in humanitarian situations; welcomed over 650 organizations as members; and galvanized those working to end violence through collective advocacy and events including the inaugural End Violence Solutions Summit.
