Effective publication and update of online mapping; support for minority art contest 2024 and adjunct minority artist human rights actions; effective provision of expertise for the development of OHCHR's global minority artists human rights defenders action 2024-2028; effective implementation of events in IMPS 2024 Roma rights action calendar; effective participation in and support for Americas delegation at August Auschwitz events; effective follow up of August Auschwitz events; effective development of follow-up programming, in particular as concerns Brazil action; number of meetings convened in areas under contract.

Duties and Responsibilities

(1) Support of IPMS work plans in the area of Roma rights and Roma inclusion; (2) Advancement of IPMS's programmatic support for the voice of minority artists, including the work of the independent judge's panel convened to review applications for the 2024 International Contest for Minority Artists (3) Support in the area of anti-discrimination law and minority rights. (4) Support implementation of IPMS plans in the run-up to, during and following the 2-3 August 2024 80th anniversary commemorations of the Roma Holocaust and related efforts at Roma Memorialization, in accordance with IPMS's work plan (5) Supports action related specifically to planning and implementing IPMS's plans to bring a Roma in the Americas delegation to the events commemorating the Roma Holocaust, taking place during and around 2-3 August 2024, and related mission work; (6) Supports development of follow-up programming; (7) Supports updating of Romani places in the Americas mapping;

Qualifications/special skills

Advanced degree in Law, Human Rights or similar field is required. At least 2 years of relevant work experience

Languages

Fluency in English and Spanish. Knowledge in French or another UN language is an advantage.
