UNICEF China Partnerships and Innovations Section constantly maintains and keeps improving service level. This G-5 position incumbent needs to keep data and operation efficient and stable, so that the retention team could have enough competence to face growth in the future.

Beside the operational requirement, the retention team’s key target is to keep on improving UNICEF friends’ relationship. The job holder of this position is also expected to contribute to the upgrading of a series of methodology and solutions of retention, catering to different segmentations.

This G-5 position, under supervision of retention officer, also helps to carry on administrative works for the team.

How can you make a difference?

You are expected to make a different to children by providing the following job duties for the PI section:

  • ●Processing data entries
  • ●Retention materials
  • ●Assistance on internal process
  • ●Automation project support
  • ●Other work assigned by supervisor

- Process processing entries:

  • ●Operate and check the data in a timely manner as well as carry out all activities related to the routine operation of the database.

- Retention materials:

  • ●Delivery UNICEF friends-care materials timely.
  • ●conduct email campaigns as per plan.
  • ●Follow up creative design or adapt layout for above materials.
  • ●Prepare related sending reports.
  • ●Communicate with vendors to execute the production of certificates & letter package.
  • ●Communicate with other team members to ensure related physic material is well prepared for the retention campaigns.

- Assistance on internal process:

  • ●Under guidance and monitor of supervisor, move forward vendor contract and vendor payment process.
  • ●After supervisor and management confirmation, communicate with vendor to ensure business requirements delivered clearly and executed with no error.

- Automation project support

  • ●Provide assistance to carry out data automation project per requested.
  • ●Communicate with related colleague for better execution of the project.
  • ●Testing and monitoring the progress of automation to find, report and assist to solve any problems or bugs.

Other work assigned by supervisor

  • ●Provide coaching for related colleagues to better execution of business.
  • ●Provide assist for team admin and coordination with other teams and departments.

Impact of Results:

Under the general supervision of the Retention Officer, the position will be responsible for supporting retention team in handling daily affairs including data processing, retention projects, internal operation and administrative work.

Qualifications:

  • ●Completion of secondary education is required, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses in the fields of business administration, marketing or the other related areas.
  • ●A minimum of 5 years of relevant data process, data handling or business administrative work experience is required.
  • ●Native Mandarin Chinese skills, reading and writing is required. Fluency in English is required including good command of spoken English and working knowledge of written English.

Skills:

  • ●Experience using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other UNICEF software such as SharePoint; knowledge of integrated management information systems required.
  • ●Experience of large-amount data processing, especially sales transaction handling.
  • ●Organizational, planning and prioritizing skills and abilities.
  • ●Ability to deal patiently and tactfully with vendors.
  • ●High sense of confidentiality, initiative and good judgment.
  • ●Ability to work effectively with people of different national and cultural background.
  • ●Ability to work in a team environment to achieve common goals.
  • ●Able to complete task on time, detail-oriented candidate is desirable.
