You have:
- Master's degree in relevant field such as statistics, data science, public health or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, or a related field.
- Skills in using data visualization tools and software, such as Tableau or similar.
- Excellent command of the English language, both oral and written.
- Familiarity with GenAI and its applications in data analysis is an advantage.

Reporting to the Regional Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Adviser, the position is expected to contribute to the establishment of the Asia and Pacific Dashboard.
UNFPA Asia and the Pacific Regional Office (APRO) seeks to support capacities of UNFPA Country Offices and partners in Asia and Pacific in measuring, reporting and demonstrating results data through the development of an interactive web-based dashboard.
• The dashboard is a user-friendly platform for: a) tracking progress on higher-level country programme results for all countries in the Asia and Pacific region and identifying trends; b) facilitating evidence-based decision-making by UNFPA Business Units and implementing partners; c) communicating results to external stakeholders for greater accountability and resource mobilization; and d) facilitate knowledge sharing among country offices.
The dashboard will be integrated into a corporate UNFPA BENIMS and PULSE dashboards, being developed under the leadership of UNFPA HQ units.
Under the direct supervision of the Regional Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor, UNFPA Asia Pacific Regional Office, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for the management of the Asia and Pacific Dashboard, which includes the following tasks :
• Data Harmonization o Conduct a comprehensive assessment of reporting requirements and data needs for internal and external communication of UNFPA APRO and COs, consulting with relevant regional advisors and M&E staff from Country Offices (COs). o Collaborate with COs to identify key indicators and data points to be reported. o Identify linkages and integrate data from other platforms to the extent needed and feasible, such as financing data. o Guide COs with development and/or use of data collection forms for agreed indicators, focusing on higher level results indicators. o Propose a methodology for data harmonization and aggregation from diverse country-level systems, considering potential data discrepancies and varying reporting frequencies. o Determine the necessary data security protocols and user access levels for regional users, including periodicity of data generation and quality assurance processes.
• Dashboard Engineering o With support from UNFPA HQ – Information Technology Solutions Office develop a detailed design of the web-based regional dashboard. o Structure the dashboard for easy data visualization, analysis, and reporting of aggregated regional data. o Incorporate geographical mapping functionalities to visualize data by country, sub-region, or regional. o Design intuitive visualization elements (e.g., interactive charts, graphs, heatmaps, progress bars) to present complex data in an easily understandable format. o Design functionalities to provide qualitative information, e.g. human face stories on impact, photos and other sources of data tailored for diverse stakeholders. o Outline a data backup, archiving, and network security plan.
• Managing the regional dashboard of results: o Maintain regular communication and support Country Offices with timely results reporting in the regional dashboard. o Support quality assurance of data entered into the dashboard. o Conduct trend and other data analyses of the dashboard data to promote utilization of results evidence by APRO and Country Offices for programming, decision-making, communication and resource mobilization. o Troubleshoot any technical challenges in consultation with relevant business units and UNFPA HQ. o Facilitate knowledge sharing among Country Offices and support documentation of promising and innovative practices, lessons learned.

The duty station will be Bangkok, Thailand. Bangkok is a highly developed modern city with excellent accommodation that includes single house, apartments etc. The cost of living in Bangkok perhaps compared to some of the other capital cities in Asia is relatively high but still low compared to the Europe and North America. Health facilities and services are among the best in Asia and often many people from various countries visit Bangkok for seeking medical services. Travel to and from Bangkok is easy as there are many daily flights connecting Bangkok with major cities in the world.
