You have:

Contract

This is a UNV National Specialist contract. This kind of contract is known as National UN Volunteer. It is normally only for nationals. More about UNV National Specialist contracts.

Iraq is transitioning from humanitarian to a development context, which requires new and innovative ways of fundraising for both types of operations. The Resource Partnerships Officer would support the UNICEF Iraq Country Office (ICO) to pitch its story better to public and private sector donors for both humanitarian response and development assistance, in addition to supporting donor relations, prospecting, communications, content development for the various partnership engagement tools.

The UNICEF Iraq Resource Mobilization and Leveraging Strategy 2020-2024 (RM Strategy) and Action Plan, lay out a vision and framework for fundraising, leveraging and advocacy. ICO has a heavy reliance on public sector donors. UNICEF would like to expand its current private sector partnerships, especially with foundations, telecommunication companies, the oil sector, business coalitions, and Iraqi high net worth individuals, for more shared value through innovation with the private sector and co-creation. Support is required for all these areas of work and to support implementing of the RM Strategy and its Action Plan.

Mission travel may be conducted on a needs-only basis to field locations where Iraq CO has a presence across the country, including for donor field visits and programmatic reporting.

Under the direct supervision of Resource Mobilization Manager, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

  1. Support proposal writing, content development, and reporting to donors (private, public and UNICEF National Committees)
  2. Support operationalization of the UNICEF Iraq Resource Mobilization and Leveraging Strategy 2020-2024
  3. Support private sector engagement and new/emerging public sector donors for both humanitarian response and development assistance, in addition to providing support for gathering donor intelligence
  4. Support coordination for donor field visits.

Housing for staff is leased commercially by the individual staff within security-cleared areas and complexes. Accommodation standards are of adequate quality, safe, and comfortable.
