This is a UNV International Youth contract. This kind of contract is known as International UN Volunteer. It is normally internationally recruited only. More about UNV International Youth contracts.

The UN Youth Volunteer will be attached to the entire Country Office programme to support with resource mobilization efforts in the area of Sexual and Reproductive Health, gender equality and empowerment of women and girls with focus on SGBV.

Under the direct supervision of Resident Representative, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

• Serve as the focal point for Country Office Resource Mobilisation activities • Support the preparation and review of concept/proposals for mobilising additional re-sources for the CO. • Provide technical support to the CO Resource Mobilization Working Group • Collaborate with internal CO, RO and/or RO colleagues to contribute to the development of strategies, approaches, policies and the planning of resource mobilization initiatives in support of programmes/projects implementation and delivery of results, including humanitarian response. • Support the facilitation of strategic discussions to collaborate on policy and agenda setting for gender equality and related external relations and resource mobilization initiatives.
• Participate in budget planning and management of programme funds and support preparation financial plan for gender initiatives.
• Actively contribute to ensure timely preparation and dissemination of mandatory and special reports (donors, programme/projects), as well as briefing papers and corporate publications regarding program activities in support of the UNFPA mission in the country; • Support monitoring and assessing the results and impacts of partnerships, advocacy for resource mobilization and communication efforts, and ensures timely reporting and documentation of results.

• and/or demonstrated interest (up to two years) in the field of resource mobilization • Good knowledge of development matters, particularly Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Gender Equality and Rights • Knowledge and understanding of Ghanaian culture, history and political contexts is an asset
