We are seeking the support of an Online Volunteer to research potential talent sources in Madagascar. The Online Volunteer will conduct research on suitable platforms such as job/volunteer search websites, print media and social media groups in Madagascar where VSC can share volunteer opportunities. The Online Volunteer will also support identifying potential partners such as international organizations, government institutions, professional associations, academia and civil society groups in Madagascar where VSC can reach out and promote UNV programme and UN Volunteer assignments. Additionally, the Online Volunteer will report new findings to VSC on a regular basis and provide advice on outreach practices in Madagascar. The Online Volunteer will be supported by the Talent Acquisition team and be part of a team of online volunteers to research talent sources in different countries. Communication will be through email, web meetings and shared collaboration space.

    The demand for national UN Volunteers (Volunteers who serve in their home countries) with specific skills and experience in Madagascar is increasing, exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Our objective with the project is to increase the number of candidates from Madagascar in our Talent Pool so that UNV can respond to the demands of UN agencies more quickly and deploy UN Volunteers to where their service is needed.

  • 6-10 hours per week / 4 weeks

    We are looking for Online Volunteers with an interest in talent sourcing and recruitment. Candidates needs to have in-depth knowledge of Madagascar, including a thorough understanding of the country’s labour market. In addition, successful applicants need to have excellent internet and social media search skills; as well as the ability to identify and organize information.
