Details

Egypt is undergoing rapid digital transformation driven by AI, which is reshaping key sectors, labor markets, and the nature of work. While AI presents opportunities for productivity growth, innovation, and new job creation, it also poses risks such as job displacement and widening skills gaps, particularly among vulnerable groups. At the same time, Egypt is positioning itself as a growing hub for global outsourcing and digital service delivery, supported by its strategic location, cost advantages, multilingual talent, and expanding digital infrastructure. This raises important questions about how AI will ultimately shape the future of work in Egypt, and what it will mean for jobs, skills, and economic opportunity in the years ahead.

The objective of this assignment is to provide a comprehensive research of the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the future of work in Egypt, including implications for job creation, job displacement, productivity, and the evolving nature of work across sectors.

The consultant will be responsible for:

Reviewing relevant background documents, data, and frameworks.
Conducting data collection and analysis
Engaging key stakeholders as required Identifying key findings, gaps, and practical recommendations
Preparing and presenting clear outputs

Deliverables and Expected Outputs

Inception Report: detailed methodology and work plan, including data sources and tools.
Draft Report: Comprehensive analysis covering all scope areas with preliminary findings and insights
Final Report: Revised, high‑quality report incorporating feedback. Executive summary and key messages. Actionable recommendations.
Presentation/Briefing: PowerPoint presentation summarizing key findings and recommendations
Stakeholder engagement outpute (if applicable): workshop reports, survey analysis and findings.
