United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) is looking for volunteers for the SOLUTIONSplus project to conduct background research on electric mobility and stakeholders mapping that will lead to the elaboration of factsheets, communication materials and/ or academic papers in Spanish and English. This main tasks include mapping of all relevant stakeholders working on electric mobility in the Historic Centre of Quito, planning socialization and participation workshops, and supporting partnerships between local and European companies working on electric mobility.

    SOLUTIONSplus project aims to enable transformational change towards sustainable urban mobility through innovative & integrated electric mobility solutions. To deliver this objective the project will boost the availability of electric vehicles, foster the efficiency of operations and support the integration of different types of e-mobility in large urban areas, addressing user needs and local conditions in Europe, Asia, Africa & Latin America (LA). The project encompasses city level demonstrations to test different types of innovative and integrated e-mobility solutions, complemented by a comprehensive toolbox, capacity development and replication activities. LA's transport sector is responsible for 35% of greenhouse (GHG) emissions, higher than any other region worldwide, with the highest emission growth rate among all of the sectors of the economy. Through this project, potential impacts of the implemented e-mobility solutions will be explored from different perspectives such as: user acceptance, environment, GHG & other emissions, air quality, traffic safety, traffic efficiency, energy efficiency, personal mobility, well-being/quality of life, sustainability, electrical safety.
