Overview
Support malaria programs by improving surveillance systems through data expertise
You have:
- Master's degree or higher in public health, epidemiology, or related quantitative discipline with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience
- Experience working in an international context and/or entrepreneurial environment
- Proficiency in biostatistics with meticulous data management skills, statistical and geospatial analysis programming experience (R, Python, SAS, STATA, ArcGIS, QGIS and/or other relevant software)
- Experience designing and conducting analysis for epidemiological analysis or surveys, including sampling design, data collection, validation and cleaning, running analysis, and dissemination
- Experience in programming and/or working with surveillance platforms (e.g., DHIS2), data collection tools (e.g., ODK) and/or data visualization applications (e.g., Tableau)
- Enthusiasm for applying research methods effectively to solve complex global health problems, including adopting innovative quantitative and qualitative approaches using surveillance data
- High levels of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet applications
- Exceptional English written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in report writing and other concise written communications
- Ability to work independently in remote and unstructured settings and to adapt to new environments and challenges, and ability to collaborate, communicate, and operate as part of a multicultural team
- Strong work ethic, integrity, credibility, and dedication to CHAI’s mission
- Demonstrated ability to work with a sense of urgency and timeliness
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 50%)
