You have:

  • PhD degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Sciences, Biostatistics, or a related research field is required.
  • MSc degree with demonstrated experience in conducting and publishing public health research and scientific manuscripts.
  • Strong knowledge of research methodologies, study design, and data interpretation approaches in public health research.
  • Experience reviewing academic manuscripts, technical reports, or scientific publications is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, academic writing, and communication skills in English.
  • Ability to provide constructive, detail-oriented, and evidence-based technical feedback.

The World Health Organization supports evidence-based public health policies and research initiatives that contribute to stronger health systems and improved population health outcomes. High-quality scientific research and rigorous methodological approaches are essential for informing national health priorities, strengthening policy recommendations, and advancing knowledge-sharing across the region.

WHO Kuwait is currently working on a number of research manuscripts and technical studies related to oral health, health financing and global health architecture. To strengthen the scientific rigor and methodological quality of this work, WHO Kuwait seeks the support of highly qualified Online Volunteers with advanced academic and research expertise.

The contribution of the Online Volunteer through this assignment will support evidence generation, scientific quality assurance, and knowledge dissemination aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 3: “Good Health and Well-Being.”

WHO Kuwait is seeking 1 highly qualified Online Volunteer with advanced academic expertise to provide advisory and technical support for ongoing public health research manuscripts and studies.

In collaboration with the WHO Kuwait technical team, the researcher Online Volunteer

  • Review and provide technical feedback on ongoing public health research manuscripts and scientific papers.
  • Advise on research methodologies, study design approaches, and analytical frameworks to strengthen scientific rigor.
  • Support validation of research methods and provide recommendations to improve data interpretation and analysis approaches.
  • Contribute expert input on public health research standards, evidence generation, and scientific reporting practices.
  • Support the refinement of manuscript structure, academic language, and methodological consistency where needed.

Expected deliverables may include:

  • Scientific review of WHO Kuwait’s public health research manuscripts, including validated recommendations on research methodology, analytical approaches, and scientific rigor to strengthen evidence generation on oral health/health financing/global health architecture.
