Eligibility criteria

Minimum age: 25 years old. Nationals of the country of assignment are not eligible, except the assignments in Headquarters duty stations.

Description of task

Under the supervision of Partnership Specialist/PME Manager the Reporting Officer UNV will help UNICEF Cote d’Ivoire’s donors understanding the work that the office does every day positively impacting the life of millions of children. To do so, The Reporting Officer will ensure the office will develop high quality documents: on one side helping shaping UNICEF’s projects and interventions (donor proposals) and on the other side reporting on the key progress and achievements (donor reports).

  1. Coordination of the d****onor reports and proposals development
  • Be responsible for the effective coordination and the continuous improvement of the donors’ reports/proposals development process, working in close collaboration with the Program Chiefs of Section, the Partnership Specialist, the Resource Mobilization Specialist, the M&E Manager and the Deputy representative.
  • Work in close collaboration with management and programme staff to develop strategic documents (RAM, COAR, SMQ, SitReps, etc.), donor reports and proposals, improve their quality, and/or translate them, as required.
  • Formulates recommendations for improvements of program design (RBM) at the proposal stage and the improvement of the reporting/proposal
  • Maintain a coherent system for tracking reports due to donors to ensure that they are submitted in high quality and on time and ensure that section chiefs and management are informed on reporting requirements
  • Be responsible for the office information system on donor reports and proposals (both VISION and share point).
  1. Creative/strategic writing for donor’s communication and advocacy
  • Work in close collaboration with the program staff, the Photographer, and the communication department to develop high quality human-interest stories and communication material for donors

Qualifications/Requirements

Required degree level:

Master degree or equivalent

Education - Additional Comments:

Required Degree Level: Master's degree in Communications, Marketing, Political Science, Journalism, or equivalent professional work in these areas combined with university degree in a related area

Required experience:

36 Months

Experience remark:

At least three (3) years of professional experience, in reporting, Resource Mobilization, communication, and Programme monitoring and evaluation.

Developing country working experience is required;

Previous experience with report/proposal development editing and formatting will be considered an asset.

Previous experience with Resource Mobilization, Program Planning and Result Based Management will be considered an asset.

Experience in international organizations, NGOs or UN agencies (particularly UNICEF) will be considered an asset.

Previous experience with Private Sector will be considered an asset.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Teams, and Planner will be considered an asset.
