This is an exciting opportunity to provide support to the Global HR Section and work with the Global HR management team in a coordinating role. The position holder will be responsible for coordinating internal reporting on strategy and risk for the Section including follow up on specific cases as directed by the HR Director. In addition, the position holder will provide support to the Global HR Management team, being responsible for initiatives related to continuous improvements, internal communication, planning and follow up of key actions. The role reports to the Global HR Director.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a flexible, structured, and innovative candidate with experience from coordination and administrative roles within the humanitarian sector. The ideal candidate works well with people across different organisational levels and has the ability to work independently in close cooperation with others.

What you will do:

Some of your specific responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate HR Management Team meetings, including preparing the agenda, minutes and action lists and dissemination of information to the Section in close cooperation with the HR Director.
  • Coordinate internal reporting, including the oversight and coordination of the reporting on strategy and risk monitoring on a triannual basis
  • Contribute to continuous improvement processes and standards relevant to the Section including follow up of action points from HRMT meetings.
  • Support on internal communication, including developing HR Global Sharepoint sites

What you will bring:

  • University degree in political science, administration, or social studies.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • High degree of service-mindedness.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other departments, sections, and units.
  • Relevant work experience in Humanitarian/ Development Sector (desirable)
  • Competent ICT user, including word, excel, outlook, ppt, SharePoint and O365, Power BI etc.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Spanish, French, or Arabic knowledge an asset.

  • Duty station: NRC Oslo.
  • Contract: National permanent contract.
  • Salary/benefits: Grade 7 on NRC’s regional salary scale, with accompanying terms and conditions.
