The volunteer will, to the best of their ability, competently and correctly proofread and edit the English version of the UNICEF Albania Innovation Strategy document. The document to edit is the Country Office Innovation Strategy which aims to promote and structurally support novel solutions and accelerate Innovation to achieve results and improve the situation and rights for children and young people. The text may contain some professional vocabulary on Innovation, Partnership and Funding. Most of the document uses ordinary understandable words. The document contains up to 30 pages.
The Online Volunteer will connect with the Innovation Officer Albania and while contributing to improvement of the document through the necessary editing, the Volunteer will have an opportunity to learn more about Innovation in UNICEF, Innovation as a change strategy and Partnerships.
We are seeking 1 Online Volunteer to support us by editing Albania Country Office Innovation Strategy in English. To this end the Online Volunteer is asked:
- To proofread the document, which is approximately 30 pages-long in English
- To make necessary edits
- To ensure that the translation is concise, in line with UNICEF communications guidelines, and fit for the audience.
The selected Online Volunteer will receive guidance on the target audience and our communications guidelines as well as other guidance as needed.
Candidates should be native in English. Familiarity with technical terms related to Innovation and Strategy writing will be considered an advantage. Previous translation and report editing experience is considered an asset.
