How can you make a difference?

The national consultant will work with the National Institute of Health and (INS) and Ministry of Health to conduct infant and young child feeding training for health care workers and Mother Support Group members in Timor-Leste.

WORK ASSIGNMENT:

  1. Support INS to revise and finalize Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) Counselling Training Module for Health Care Workers and Mother Support Group members.
  2. Support INS to conduct refreshing training for IYCF master trainers and develop IYCF training plan in 12 Municipalities and RAEOA, and health workers training database developed.
  3. Support INS and Ministry of Health to conduct IYCF training for health care workers in 12 Municipalities and RAEOA
  4. Support INS and MoH to monitor IYCF training for MSG members in 12 Municipalities and RAEOA
  5. Prepare and submit final report

Deliverables:

  1. Editable and printable IYCF counselling training module (Training for Middle Level trainers, participants modules, and PPT) for health care workers
  2. Editable and printable version of IYCF counseling training module for Mother Support Group members (participants module)
  3. IYCF refreshing training report and workplan submitted including pre and post test results.
  4. IYCF health worker training database developed
  5. Training report submitted
  6. MSG training report for 12 municipalities and RAEOA submitted
  7. Final report on consultancy work submitted.

Duration of Assignment: 100 working days, spread over from May - December 2022.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • University degree in Medicine, health sciences, nutrition, Public Health, Health Promotion, Social and Behaviour Change Communication or related disciplines.
  • Qualified as master trainer of IYCF counselling training
  • Experienced in development of training modules
  • At least 4 years’ practical experience in IYCF training for health care workers and Mother Support Group members.
  • Have excellent translation and interpretation skills in English and Tetum (vice versa)
