NRC is looking for a Regional Adviser, Safe and Inclusive Programming to join the Asia and Latin America Regional Office. The Regional Adviser will be responsible for facilitating and coordinating the roll-out of the minimum standards for safe and inclusive programming, as well as supporting its institutionalisation and integration into the Country Offices and Regional Office systems. The role holder will support Country Offices in the region with the implementation of their action plans on safe and inclusive programming, including the delivery of capacity-building interventions. He/she will ensure sustainability and further institutionalisation across the Country Offices and the Regional Office.

If you are an influential people leader and an effective communicator; have a a passion for capacity building and leading and inspiring large and diverse teams; with diplomatic negotiation skills; a track record in managing change and transformation; experience in directing projects, information sharing, coordination, and enhanced liaison/representation with multi-stakeholders; and you are bi-lingual in both English and Spanish, then this is the role for you!

What You Will Do

  • Safe and inclusive programming implementation and institutionalisation.
  • Capacity building, mentoring, training, and development of staff on safe and inclusive programming.
  • Programme quality and adherence to the safe programming standards.
  • Reporting and documentation support.
  • Monitoring and evaluation, continuous improvement and lessons learnt.
  • Represent NRC in external forums/cluster/working groups.

  • Protection-related training and tool development and delivery track record.
  • Organisational change track record.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • English and Spanish fluency, both written and verbal.

What We Offer

  • Oslo, Norway duty station, preferably (or any other NRC Europe Office location, subject to legal capability).
  • 12-months contract duration.
  • 50% travel, approximately.
