Working closely with the Staffing and Recruitment team and hiring managers, the Recruitment Assistant will be instrumental in attracting and recruiting top talent. ***Key Responsibilities:*** - Create compelling job advertisements to attract a diverse pool of candidates and post job vacancies on our website, LinkedIn, and other job boards. - Support Human Resources Officers (HRO) in conducting direct candidate sourcing. - Review applications to ensure they meet basic qualifications and requirements. - Collaborate with HROs and hiring managers to identify and select appropriate assessments for candidates, such as written assessment, skills tests, and pre-recorded video-interviews. - Schedule and coordinate the administration of assessments using a dedicated IT platform. Collect and organize assessment results and feedback from assessors or hiring managers. - Assist in the preparation of interview questions and evaluation forms. Take notes during the interview and prepare first draft interview report, as necessary. - Where necessary, organize the logistics of interviews, including scheduling, setting up videoconferencing and communicating with candidates. - Organize meetings of the Appointments Review Board (ARB), an internal advisory committee. - Update job requisitions files, ensuring that the required documents and notes are correctly recorded in an application tracking system. - Perform other duties as required. **COMPETENCIES (Core / Managerial)** ------------------------------------ Accountability (C) Communication (C) Innovation (C) Knowledge sharing and continuous improvement (C) Planning and organizing (C) Results focus (C) Teamwork (C) Professionalism (C) **-** ----- For detailed information, please consult the [UNESCO Competency Framework](https://en.unesco.org/sites/default/files/competency_framework_e.pdf). **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS** --------------------------- ***Education***: - Completed secondary education. Vocational training in human resources would be an asset. ***Work experience:*** - Minimum of 5 years of work experience preferably in administrative roles, including in Human Resources. ***Skills and competencies:*** - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. - Problem-solving skills and adaptability. - Strong time management and multitasking abilities. - Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS). - Ability to collect and analyze data, build high quality reports and dashboards. Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools would be an asset. - Knowledge of LinkedIn Recruiter tool would be an asset. ***Languages*** - Excellent knowledge of English and working knowledge of French. **DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS** ---------------------------- **BENEFITS AND ENTITLEMENTS** ----------------------------- UNESCO’s salaries consist of a basic salary and other benefits which may include if applicable: 30 days annual leave, family allowance, medical insurance, pension plan etc. The approximate annual starting salary for this post is 43.734 Euros.
