Contract

This is a Professional contract, Grade 8 (NRC) contract. More about Professional contract, Grade 8 (NRC) contracts.

NORCAP, part of the Norwegian Refugee Council, solves challenges in the humanitarian, development, and peacebuilding sectors in order to better protect vulnerable people’s lives and rights. We build partnerships, promote more effective ways of working and provide skilled experts to develop capacity.

We work with and through our partners to address challenges via three core activities:

  • We develop partnerships with regional and global organisations and national stakeholders. We believe working together in a coordinated and sustainable manner is the best way to reduce needs, risks, and vulnerability over time.
  • We seek and promote more effective ways of working at the global level and in the field. Our aim is not only to reduce needs but also to create choice and opportunity for vulnerable people.
  • We deploy skilled experts to develop our partner’s capacity. Given their independence from agendas and interests of the organisations they are deployed to, our experts are well placed to identify and address challenges, improve collaboration and encourage new and innovative approaches.

In order to deliver on our core activity of deploying highly skilled experts, NORCAP needs to attract and hire top talent and experts from all over the world. The Recruitment and Development Unit plays a pivotal role in achieving this and acts as both a service provider and strategic partner in the implementation of our projects.

To support the department with high quality and timely recruitments, we have developed an advanced and fully digital assessment centre. We have high ambitions with regards to applying cutting-edge technology in combination with best-practice procedures and work according to a philosophy that encourages continuous improvement.

Working as a Recruitment and Development Adviser in NORCAP gives you the opportunity to work with highly competent colleagues, develop your own skills in an international context, contribute to further professionalise our procedures, and at the same time ensure that the people we deploy have the right experience and skills to make a positive contribution to the people who needs it the most.
