Support UNICEF's multi-sectoral nutrition advocacy and program management efforts
You have:
- Masters in International Relations, International Organization, Public Health, Nutrition
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of Bangladesh nutrition policy environment, institutional infrastructure, and key stakeholders
- Extensive experience working in Bangladesh
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in multi-sectoral collaboration and stakeholder coordination in nutrition
- Proven experience in drafting and developing complex multi-stakeholder planning documents
- Existing good working relations with the Government of Bangladesh would be an asset
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)

Purpose of the Assignment:
-Support UNICEF’s leadership in multi-sectoral coordination for high-level advocacy efforts
-Support documentation and advocacy for programme priorities
-Support the Chief of Nutrition with Programme management and quality assurance, as well as partnership building and maintenance.
Work Assignment Overview:
Tasks/Milestones:Deliverables:Timeline1.Liaise and coordinate the nutrition working group and joint work planning under UNSDCF
2.Participate and represent UN nutrition group in inter-agency discussions on behalf of Chief of Nutrition (incl. on N4G, SUN, NPAN2, GAP, UNSDCF and other multisectoral efforts)
3.Liaise and coordinate nutrition DP TG under the HPNSP
4.Coordinate and follow-up on joint wasting agenda under GAP
5.Provide capacity building support to BNNC/NNS for the coordination of multi-sectoral governance for nutrition
6.Provide written inputs or support to EU-UNICEF project team when required
7.Ensure section Knowledge Management strategy is up to date and broken up into activities to be included in annual rolling workplan
8.Support and provide quality assurance of documentation and knowledge management of ENIS
9.Support and provide quality assurance of documentation and knowledge management of MMNP under EU-funded programme
10.Support and provide quality assurance of documentation and knowledge management of Essential Nutrition Service provision in Emergency under WB-funded programme
11.Support 2023 annual section work planning
12.Support programme monitoring
13.Support mid- and end-year review of nutrition programme
14.Support strengthening of Mother and Child Benefit Programme (MCBP) with EU, WFP, SPEAR section and Child Protection section
15.Provide additional support to Chief of Nutrition as necessary

13.Prepare inputs with section and zonal colleagues
14.Nutrition is well reflected in MCBP 15.Funding from EU to provide TA in strengthening MCBP - Nutrition alignment as required

Minimum Qualifications/Knowledge/Expertise/Skills required:
- Masters in International Relations, International Organization, Public Health, Nutrition
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of Bangladesh nutrition policy environment, institutional infrastructure, and key stakeholders
- Extensive experience working in Bangladesh
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in multi- sectoral collaboration and stakeholder coordination in nutrition
- Proven experience in drafting and developing complex multi- stakeholder planning documents
- Existing good working relations with the Government of Bangladesh would be an asset
- International consultants based in Bangladesh will be given preference.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
Administrative details:
Assignment duration: 253 working days during 11.5 months;
Work modality: Work from UNICEF House, Dhaka, Bangladesh with monitoring visits within Bangladesh;
International Travel: One economy class round trip travel will be provided for start and end of the assignment;
In-Country Travels: Will be paid at actual based on UNICEF Policy Procedure
Payment: Payment will be made on monthly basis upon successful completion of assigned tasks and certified by supervisor
