The Private Sector Fundraising and Communication Sections, UNICEF Thailand Country Office (TCO) is seeking an individual contractor to support both the private sector fundraising team (individual giving, business, and high value) and the communications team (digital, brand) to enhance the performance of campaigns. As the owner of digital analytics and intelligence in the organization, this role will build and maintain digital performance infrastructure and act as the go-to expert on campaign, content and paid media performance on digital channels. Through the development of systematic performance reporting and insights the role will enable UNICEF to boost the online presence, brand identity, engagement and income generated from digital channels. The ideal candidate will have a passion for social media and e/m-commerce and is obsessed with digging into analytics data to solve problems by working with digital and content teams to inform campaign performance and growth. They will have a deep understanding of various digital media and marketing channels, testing methodologies, native and third-party analytics tools and how they operate, as well as familiarity with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and user experience (UX) tracking to improve online content. Tech-savvy individuals with a strong interest in current trends in digital technologies are encouraged to apply.

Work Assignment:

During the contractual period, the consultant will be expected to work on the following assignments. However, there may be some circumstances that the consultant may be required to work on some ad hoc assignments related to the fundraising / communications objectives.

Key responsibilities

Key tasks for each responsibility

Provide data-driven foundation for Digital Team’s strategy & campaign development

  • Proactively align data capture/tracking and analysis projects to business objectives e.g. web traffic, engagement, conversion, cost per lead / donor, income
  • Construct analyses to generate analysis insights & actionable recommendation for optimizing ‘next iteration’ messaging, campaign, and fundraising tactics
  • Support the Digital Campaigns lead by advising on meaningful A/B-testing scenarios, set up testing infrastructure and contribute to ongoing knowledge management from digital campaigns.
  • Evaluate Strategy & Campaign Effectiveness around ROI-based methodology
  • Support development of Digital Team’s budget & channel investment allocation
  • Work with team to design campaigns and new products based on evidence and insights
  • Communicate insights and knowledge across various teams within TCO

Produce Audience, Campaign & KPI Reporting & Analysis

  • Manage, manipulate & transform audience & campaign datasets
  • Actively seek ways to address data gaps and quality to improve measurement accuracy & comprehensiveness
  • Develop periodic reports, on-demand dashboards & presentations on analytical outcomes for stakeholders in a business-friendly manner
  • Lead & drive greater data-driven performance reporting & campaign optimization processes from all agency partners
  • Integrate reporting from multiple external agencies with internal reports to produce better end-to-end linkages between campaign-level metrics and UNICEF Comms & Fundraising Department-level Objective KPIs

Enhance Business Intelligence Infrastructure

  • Recommend enhancements like Google Analytics tagging/event definition, Facebook pixels and other methods to create more advanced tracking of campaigns & user journeys
  • Perform top-line market research & competitive analysis
  • Work with UNICEF Global to identify & activate new business intelligence platforms/tools for TCO

    End Product(s): Monthly report detailing the key points, findings, and recommendation on all the work done, challenges and possible improvement during the contract period.

    Duration of Contract: 11.5 months with possibility of extension (1 November 2021 – 15 September 2022), full-time basis according to UNICEF working hours.

    Working Location and Official Travel: This role will mainly work in UNICEF Thailand Country Office. However, there may be some requirements for this consultant to in-country travel which UNICEF will be responsible for expenses.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

• University degree in digital marketing, data analytics/statistic, mat or a related field required

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant hands-on direct professional work experience on the following areas: digital media or digital paid marketing (any sector) or E/M commerce

• Power user in digital/data analytics environments (Microsoft Excel, Google Analytics, Adwords, Facebook Ad Mgr, etc) required.

• Experience with other marketing technologies and analytics tools (i.e. PowerBI, Google, etc.).

• Familiarity with CRM (i.e. Salesforce), social listening analysis (CrowdTangle, Talkwalker).

• Experience in A/B testing.

• Strong working knowledge of Google Analytics with certification preferable.

• Experience collecting data and providing insights for campaign optimization.

• Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external partners.

• Ability to manage multiple projects under time pressure while maintaining strict attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English and Thai).

Preferred:

• Experience in SQL, data warehousing, architecture, database management, ETL, data visualization tools.

• Understanding of Salesforce products including Sales Cloud and Ad studio.
