The objectives of this consultancy is to offer learning opportunities for MoSA child protection team on child protection case management geared to individual needs and providing an opportunity for gaining new practical skills while using a flexible learning model.

How can you make a difference?

Under the supervision of the Child Protection Officer at UNICEF and the Director General of MoSA and in close coordination and technical supervision of the Head of the CP division in MoSA, each consultant will provide 17 on job coaching days and 1 group training day per month.

Each consultant is expected to attend one to two technical orientation sessions per month at MoSA premises in Beirut. Each consultant is expected to work 21 days per month. The distribution is as follow:

Individuals engaged under a consultancy or individual contract will not be considered “staff members” under the Staff Regulations and Rules of the United Nations and UNICEF’s policies and procedures, and will not be entitled to benefits provided therein (such as leave entitlements and medical insurance coverage). Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.

Candidates are requested to quote their professional fees on a daily rate as this assignment requires the consultant to work 21 days per month totaling to 231 days over a period of 11 months.

UNICEF will apply the “best value for money” principle, i.e. achieving the desired outcome at the lowest possible fee when assessing the fees quoted by the applicants.
