Org. Setting and Reporting This position is located in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), Naqoura. The incumbent will report to the Chief Rations Unit or his/her designee.
Responsibilities- Assists in coordinating with the relevant parties in rations supply chain such as rations supply, warehouses, vehicles to ensure that food delivery procedures are in line with stated. - Support the monitoring and analysis of contractual performance to ensure compliance with contract terms, schedules and cost objectives. - Assist in the implementation of internal controls for contingent rations management and rations record management. - Document cases of non-compliance or poor performance and liaise with Rations Unit / Contract Management Unit for review as appropriate; Maintain, update and suggest improvements to the relevant SOPs as they relate to QA, as necessary. - Ensure Emergency Rations Packs are of an acceptable quality, under good storage conditions and safe to consume. - Conduct period Inspection of Ration Packs in various locations - Oversee and adopt feasible programme to verify all contingents rations stores, kitchens, and dining facilities to ensure compliance with Rations policy not limited to requisitioning procedures, good hygienic practices (GHP) and safety standards of food handlers, equipment and facilities. - Be a great team player by effectively contributes to RU extra regimental activities and other programme to be under taking by the Unit. Interface with Rations Invoicing / Requisitioning Assistant in their absence. - Assist in coordination of contractor performance meetings. - Perform other duties as required.

Education High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Job - Specific Qualification A driving license is required.
Work Experience A minimum of five (05) years of progressively responsible experience in supply management, contracts administration, logistics or related area is required.
Experience in managing support services of an international organization is required.
Experience in SAP or similar ERP software in managing purchase requisitions, purchase orders, menus, deliveries, invoices and stocks is desirable.
Experience in the management of food or rations contracts is desirable.
Languages English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English is required.
Assessment Evaluation of qualified candidates may include an assessment exercise which may be followed by competency-based interview.
