Duties and Responsibilities

The internship is located in the Office of the Secretariat of the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Road Safety (Special Envoy), United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) in Geneva. Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Head of Secretariat of the Special Envoy, the incumbent is expected to contribute to the work of the Secretariat as follows: - Undertake research to support identification of potential partners and to inform activities of the Special Envoy; - Draft articles, briefing notes and other outreach communications to help raise visibility of the global road safety crisis; - Undertake research on initiatives that illustrate the nexus between road safety and other SDGs; - Support the events, campaigns, projects and activities planned for the Special Envoy; - Support the relevant activities on social media; - Perform other duties as requested.
