Support the development of standards for conditional cash transfers addressing disaster and epidemic shocks.
You have:
- Minimum of Master's degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Development studies, or other related fields.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in socio-economic areas.
- Familiarity with socio-economic response to crises and social protection programmes.
- Strong communication, coordination and collaboration skills.
- Very good command of oral and written English and Persian.
- Previous experience with government entities and universities.

To respond to emerging needs and enhance the resilience of the most vulnerable, especially children, youth, and women in Iran, the Government of Iran and the United Nations have developed a three-year joint program which aims to support Iran in achieving sustainable economic and social development.
Under this output, UNDP will apply an integrated approach to strengthen the resilience of women, youth and the most vulnerable through economic empowerment and disaster preparedness and response, promoting policy-dialogue on the one hand and interconnected programmatic interventions on the other hand.
Conditional Cash Transfers (CCTs) are a way of delivering social assistance policies in order to help reduce poverty, manage risk or replace income. CCTs are non-contributory policies, often directly aimed at poverty reduction.
Hence, this consultancy seeks support to development standards for conditional cash transfers to withstand such disasters -related shocks based on international best practices, while a consultancy team is also looking relevant national experiences which will be compiled in the final output of this contract in a way that the ultimate result offers standards for conditional cash transfers using both international and national best/good practices.

The consultant will work on the following areas:
• Support and contribute to design of a standard operation procedure for CCT programmes in response to shocks in close collaboration with UNDP team including other consultants who are working on national good/best practices
• Prepare reports on the project’s progress
