You have:
- Bachelor’s degree in social science, economic, sustainable development, management, business administration and related field.
- Previous experience in project admin, coordination, implementation support and research assistance.
- Familiarity with UN and UNDP projects and procedures is an asset.
- Knowledge of micro-economics and socio-economic development is an asset.
- Indication of enthusiasm in learning, attending different workshops and ability to work within teams is an asset.
- Very good command of verbal and written Farsi and English.

To respond to emerging needs and enhancing the resilience of the most vulnerable, especially children, youth, and women in Iran, a three-year joint program has been developed with the aim of supporting Iran in achieving sustainable economic and social development. Under this Joint Program, the Office of the Resident Coordinator (UNRCO) plays the role of Convening Agency and is accountable for the coordination of programmatic activities that United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Development Program (UNDP), and United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) will implement. The above-mentioned Participating UN Organizations (PUNOs) are responsible for I) protecting children and youth from the harms of drugs, II) procurement of cancer medicines for children, and III) mainstreaming of women empowerment and the most vulnerable in disaster preparedness and response on a concerted effort to deliver corresponding results. The work plans have been developed jointly by the PUNOs with the national partners. This UN multi-agency Programme funded by the European Union (EU) will support Iran in achieving sustainable economic and social development by responding to current emerging needs and enhancing the resilience of the most vulnerable communities. Accordingly, UNDP will provide assistance to local and national level environments so that the most vulnerable- especially children, the youth and women- are strengthened.

The consultant will report to the UNDP Program Analyst, work closely with Programme associates, and will undertake the following activities but not limited to: • Administrative support to implementation of related ongoing and pipeline projects within the working areas of UNDP Programme unit comprising of resilient economy, and environmental sustainability. • Conducting on-demands research on requested related project’s topic relevant to the areas of Programme unit. • Support youth and entrepreneurship related activities of the program unit
