Contract

This is a DRC - National contract. More about DRC - National contracts.

The role of the Protection Specialist will have a two-pronged though strongly interlinked focus with the time divided between supporting DRC Poland Protection Analysis 50% and DRC Diaspora Programme 50%.

DRC Poland is looking for a Protection Specialist focused on developing protection analyses based on primary data collected through protection monitoring and derived from protection programming of DRC and partners, as well as secondary data review.

The Diaspora Programme is currently looking for a highly qualified Protection Specialist fluent in Ukrainian under the project “Ukrainian Diaspora Protection Information Project” to map, select, and refer to existing materials on protection information including legal, GBV and child protection, messages around sexual exploitation and human trafficking risks for displaced people from Ukraine. The Protection Specialist will also provide protection information and training sessions to the Ukrainian diaspora and individual advice on their protection information messages.

The project will integrate innovative Communication with Communities (CwC) and Social Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) programming in collaboration with Ukrainian diaspora partners as a form of protection information and assistance. The collaboration will enhance the provision of relevant protection information (including legal, GBV and child protection, sexual exploitation and human trafficking risks) to address protection risks and facilitate access to remedial services when communicating with refugees, IDPs and host communities in Ukraine and neighbouring countries. The SBC will make sure that women and young refugees have better access to specialized assistance, which will include but will not be limited to gender-based violence shelters and provision of maternal and child health, psycho-social and medical support by ensuring that these services are adequately mapped and communicated. Information will focus on the geographical areas identified by DRC, MMC and other sources as hotspots where abuses are known to take place. The proposed activities follow the SBC methodological steps: 1. Collect evidence 2. Design Strategy 3. Create and Test 4. Mobilize and Monitor 5. Evaluate and Evolve.
