ROLE PURPOSE

Working in 50 developing countries across Africa, Asia and the Americas, Plan aims to reach as many children as possible, particularly those who are excluded or marginalised with high quality programs that deliver long lasting benefits by increasing its income, working in partnership with others and operating effectively.

To support its Country Strategy ambitions, Plan International Togo needed a highly qualified candidate for the position of Proposal Writing Specialist which is part of the Business Development Unit. She/he has the role of coordinating the proposals writing processes and engaging with local donors to support Plan International program in Togo. The function exists to contribute to Plan’s strategy and mission to grow strategically with qualitative programs and to become an organization of choice of donors and other partners.

DIMENSIONS OF THE ROLE

  • The Proposal Writing Specialist’s main responsibility includes developing proposal as well as contributing to mobilising funds from local donors.
  • The position holder supports the realization of Country Strategy (CS) objectives.
  • He/she reports to the Business Development Manager
  • He/she works closely with Grants team, Technical Advisors, Operations team, programme implementation team, and other focal points.
