OCHA is facing organizational restructuring which will affect the position of several staff members across the organization. The Learning and Development Unit has developed a support package intended to support personnel to transition to other roles and jobs within or outside of the UN. OCHA is a multilingual organization, and the package needs to be made available in multiple languages. This is an urgent assignment which should ideally be completed by mid-May.

The Online Volunteer will proofread an AI-based translation of a career support package from English into French, consisting of a toolbox and various worksheets as described below along with introductory content from the internal Career Satisfaction intranet page. The package consists of:

The Online Volunteer will also ensure the translated content is put in the appropriate format, mirroring the English versions.

The Online Volunteer must: • Be a mother tongue French and/or Arabic speaker with excellent English language proficiency. • Have attention to details. • A good understanding of humanitarian-related topics and career development is a plus. The role will involve collaborating with the Learning and Development team regularly, preferably through MS Teams and email.
