To address the challenges of violence against women and girls (VAWG), the European Union (EU) and the United Nations (UN) are implementing a multi-year program: The Spotlight Initiative (SI)to Eliminate Violence Against Women and Girls. The SI aims to support transformative change on the ground to end violence against women and girls and harmful practices in numerous countries around the world.

UNDP is conducting gender-sensitive budget analysis of the 2022 Timor Leste State Budget. Aimed at following up the execution of the budget to understand how the funds are spent and whether they are allocated to the right programs. The complex analysis is being showcased in a way that it is accessible and easy to understand for all citizens, by publishing the analysis in the form of infographics.

The Online Volunteer will be translating and proofreading the infographics that are released and updated every month. The infographics are being released in Portuguese; hence the Online Volunteer will be providing translation services from Portuguese to English for the infographics. As well as English proofreading additional the traffic Light criteria report and the 6-month-findings Handbook.

-Proofreading experience of reports, articles, infographics in the English language. -Excellent written translation skills from Portuguese to English. -Knowledge of gender equality terms, prior experience in the area of gender equality is desirable.
